Job description
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and release automation for Django and supporting services.
- Manage cloud environments (e.g., AWS): networking, IAM, secrets, backups, patching, and capacity planning.
- Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident runbooks; participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Partner with security and engineering on hardening, DR drills, and audit-friendly change documentation.
- Optimize performance and spend; recommend and execute pragmatic improvements without compromising compliance posture.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or CloudOps roles with production ownership of Linux-based stacks.
- Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
- Hands-on scripting (Python or Bash) and experience with containers and orchestration concepts.
- Solid understanding of networking, TLS, secrets management, and least-privilege access patterns.
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable working with distributed teams and customer-facing constraints.
Nice to have
- Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, or food safety adjacent environments).
- Familiarity with Django, PostgreSQL, and managed data services.
- Prior work with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or customer security questionnaires.
